<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel that allows data to be input precisely even with a press by light contact using fingers or a pen and is suitable for mobile communication equipment. <P>SOLUTION: In the touch panel, an upper substrate 11 in which an upper transparent electrode layer 15 is formed on the lower surface of an upper transparent substrate 14 formed in a rectangular shape, and a lower substrate 12 in which a lower transparent electrode layer 18 is formed on the upper surface of a lower transparent substrate 17 formed in the same rectangular shape and a dot spacer 19 is arranged on the surface of the lower transparent electrode layer 18 are arranged while the upper transparent electrode layer 15 and the lower transparent electrode layer 18 in which the dot spacer 19 is arranged are provided opposingly at a fixed interval by providing a sealing member 13 at an outer-periphery section.
