PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot using an absolute azimuth and a map creation method using the robot. SOLUTION: This robot using the absolute azimuth includes a control part, which controls the movement direction of a main body using the absolute azimuth representing the direction of orientation of the main body to a predetermined reference axis, and a drive part moving the main body according to control by the control part.
