PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device for so conveying a recording medium that an image recording position on the recording medium is not displaced, a method of conveying a recording medium of an image recording device, and a program. SOLUTION: In this image recording device 31, a recording medium 21 conveyed from a feed mechanism 2 in which the feed medium 2 is stored is conveyed to a belt conveying mechanism 5 on the downstream side of a conveying route so disposed as to face an image recording part 12 and the record is processed by the image recording part 12. Based on job information notified from a host apparatus 22, a control part 1 selects the information corresponding to the type of the recording medium 21. The control part 1 for controlling by a drive control part 10 controls the drive timing of a roller conveying mechanism 8 installed in the conveying route, holding the recording medium 21, and conveying it to the belt conveying mechanism 5 according to the selected information, and conveys the recording medium 21 to the belt conveying mechanism 5.
