PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve proof stress in the vicinity of a back flange part to impact received when a low-profile tire is mounted to a wheel and to improve safety by increasing the partial strength in the vicinity of a back flange part. SOLUTION: A cope is separated into a ring-shaped thin outer circumferential cope for molding the vicinity of a back flange part and an inner cope for molding a disk part from a rim part, a thermocouple and a cooling channel are arranged at the outer circumferential cope, and rapid cooling is performed to secure a dense layer. In the releasing of the wheel, the flange part is pressed by a face, cutting depth is made shallow, and the dense layer is left to improve the strength. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
