PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary atomization type oil applying apparatus for a linear article which dispenses with the use of electrostatic force, is capable of uniformly depositing atomized oil particles by an oil atomizing rotary cup on the surface of a linear article in the circumferential direction and is capable of depositing the oil particles to fulfill a target application quantity of the oil corresponding to the travelling speed of the linear article. SOLUTION: The rotary atomization type oil applying apparatus for a linear article is provided with at least two oil atomizing rotary cups 100, 200 arranged zigzag to a linear article travelling line 400 in an oil application chamber 300, oil application quantity regulation members 110, 210 arranged between each oil atomizing rotary cup and the linear article travelling line and an oil supply quantity controller for giving oil supply quantity directive output for commanding the oil supply quantity previously fixed corresponding to the travelling speed of the linear article to fulfill the target oil application quantity to a motor driving circuit for each oil supplying pump for supplying the oil to the each oil atomizing rotary cup from an oil tank 320 in which excess oil particles are housed.
