A broadcasting reception terminal and a method for performing functions of the terminal are provided to solve of a problem of a related art that a user does not use a broadcasting service if the broadcasting reception terminal does not support functions of applications. A signal receiving module(10) receives broadcasting contents and an application for realizing the broadcasting contents. A signal decoder(20) decodes the application and the broadcasting contents. A storage module(30) stores the received broadcasting contents. An application managing module(50) executes the application and collects information about the function of the broadcasting reception terminal or the information about the capacity of the storage module. An application expression module(60) expresses the collected information.
