COMPOSITION FOR DIAGNOSIS OF AMYLOID-RELATED DISEASE

It is intended to provide a composition which contains a compound represe nted by the following general formula (I): wherein R1 represents 5-iodothiop hen-2-yl, etc.; and R2 represents 4-dimethylaminophenyl, etc. Because of hav ing a high specificity of binding to amyloid .beta.-protein, a high blood-br ain-barrier permeability and an ability to quickly disappear from parts othe r than a senile plaque in the brain, the above compound is useful in diagnos ing an amyloid-related disease such as Alzheimer's disease.
