<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively/efficiently perform a correction processing when a red eye of a photographed image photographed by an imaging apparatus is corrected. <P>SOLUTION: In the image reproducing apparatus generating/displaying the photographed image photographed by the imaging apparatus, an adopted red eye correction method includes: a subject distance estimation means for estimating distance of a subject from face size information of a face detection result and focal distance information; a flash reach distance estimation means for estimating flash reach distance from sensitivity information and a guide number in photography; and a red eye correction determination means for determining whether red eye correction is performed from the estimated subject distance and the flash reach distance and being characterized by correcting the red eye based on the above result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
