PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small inductance element having a large space factor and a small electric resistance by effecting edgewise winding about a drum core. SOLUTION: When the drum core is assembled using an air-core coil 4 formed by edgewise winding a rectangular wire; and a built-up drum core consisting of a plate core (flange A1), a plate core (flange B1), and an axial core 3; the small inductance element 13b with the edgewise-wound rectangular wire can be obtained by inserting the air-core coil 4.
