NEAR-INFRARED ABSORPTION FILTER FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD AND PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of a design property of a near-infrared filter for a plasma display panel having a dispersion element with composite tungsten oxide fine particles dispersed therein. SOLUTION: Both a near-infrared absorption material and light-absorbing fine particles are dispersed into the dispersion element provided for the near-infrared absorption filter for a plasma display panel, and in the near-infrared absorption filter, when it is assumed that peak intensity of total light-ray reflection in a wavelength region not greater than 780 nm and peak density of total light-ray reflection in a wavelength region not greater than 780 nm when the light absorption fine particles are not added are P(1) and P(0), respectively, [P(0)-P(1)]/P(0)≥0.05 is satisfied.
