PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure with a gas separation tube housed therein which has superior separation capability, can be compactly designed and can be arranged even in a limited small space. SOLUTION: The structure 10 with the gas separation tube housed therein is provided with: a bottomed cylindrical gas separation tube 2 having a bottomed cylindrical base material, a selective permeable membrane on at least one surface of the base material, and an opening 1; a vessel 3 housing the gas separation tube 2 therein; and a joining member 4 arranged at the opening 1 of the gas separation tube 2, and joining the gas separation tube 2 to the vessel 3 in such a state that the inner side of the gas separation tube 2 is air-tightly separated from the outside, wherein an inner diameter D<SB>2</SB>of at least a part housing the gas separation tube 2 of the vessel 3 is smaller than an outer diameter D<SB>1</SB>of the joining member.
