This disclosure relates to distributed control systems and to an apparatus, system, and method for wireless diagnostics. Field devices utilizing new communication protocols may be added to existing process control systems. To avoid the need to upgrade a process controller (202) or associated circuitry (216-220) to support the new communication protocols, diagnostic concentrators (228-232) may be added to the control system to establish an additional communication path between the field devices and a diagnostic monitor (238). |
