A method for providing a layer structure for organizing a screen, a method for providing the screen and a mobile communication terminal thereof are provided to organize a background screen with various visual effects and images according to status information, thereby enabling a sensuous approach in the representation of information. A method for providing a layer structure for organizing a character input screen in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: providing a time layer(200) for displaying a background image which is changed according to a time zone and a visual theme; providing a receive sensitivity layer(210) for outputting animation data which displays visual effects which are changed according to the receive strength of a radio signal and correspond to the visual theme of the background image; and providing a character input layer(220) for displaying characters inputted in correspondence to a request for the character output of the mobile communication terminal on the background image.
