PLASCHENKO'S VACUUM EXTINGUISHING CHAMBER

A vacuum extinguishing chamber includes a cylindrical body, current leads with contacts are welded to body but-ends through covers, from one side - a fixed current lead having a radiator at the outer end, from another side - a movable current lead, a silphon provides reciprocating motion of it in guide. One silphon end is vacuum-tightly connected with a bushing being welded to a current lead, another end - with a cover and a casing. The body consists of three metal details - a cylindrical screen and two cups located coaxially at both sides of the screen and being vacuum-tightly connected one with another along cylindrical surface by means of two ring insulators.
