A starting control safety device for a spot welding machine is provided to reduce the safety accident of an operator by reinforcing the safety of the device and prevent diseases of the musculoskeletal system of the operator and improve workability and productivity by improving the working posture of the operator. A starting control safety device for a spot welding machine comprises: a starting button(110) including a first push contact point switch(PB1) and a second push contact point switch(PB2) connected to each other to generate a first starting signal and a second starting signal at the same time; a hand detection sensor(120) for detecting whether the hand of an operator is advanced or not; a timer(130) connected to the second push contact point switch of the starting button to provide a delay time; a first starting relay(141) for confirming a first starting signal, which makes contact with the first push contact point switch during the generation of a starting signal, and a starting detection display lamp(142) which is lit by making contact with the first starting relay; a hand detection relay(151) which makes contact with the hand detection sensor during the generation of a detection signal of the operator's hand, and a hand detection display lamp(152) which is lit by making contact with the hand detection relay; a time detection relay(161) which makes contact with the timer after a delay time of the timer, and a time detection display lamp(162) which is lit by making contact with the time detection relay to check whether the starting button is operated normally or not, and check whether the starting button is abnormal or not; and a fuse(170) for protecting a short circuit state in the case wherein an electric circuit for electrically connecting the respective components is short-circuit.
