DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING STRIP CASTING ROLL

A device for supporting a strip casting roll is provided to control a roll gap and prevent disarray of roll alignment by clamping main cylinders and pullback cylinders to chocks such that the chocks are disposed closest to casting rolls and forming joints of the chocks joined with pullback cylinders in the form of a packer. A device for supporting a strip casting roll comprises: housings(135) which are mounted on roll chocks(130) and house pullback cylinders(110) and main cylinders; and packers(115) as clamping means for fixing and clamping the pullback cylinders and the housings to each other. The pullback cylinders are clamped to upper and lower parts of the roll chocks, and the main cylinders are clamped to the center of the roll chocks. The packers as the clamping means lock and fix the pullback cylinder heads by inserting the packers into locking grooves(137) of the housings in a state that pullback cylinder heads(112) are inserted into through holes of the housings. The packers have a diameter larger than that of the pullback cylinder heads such that the fixed pullback cylinder heads are movable, and the packers have a projection part(117) formed in an upper portion of the inner diameter thereof in a size as large as a difference between the inner diameter of the packers and the diameter of the pullback cylinders.
