The invention relates to wheels of transportation vehicles, which, in particular, increase the forces of cohesion with the surface of road. In the round housing of the wheel a link mechanism is placed which is hingedly connected to the stages hingedly fastened to the housing. A flat lever of the link mechanism rotates around the crank axle placed in the housing of the wheel. Control rods of stages are connected to it. Eccentricity between the axles of the wheel and link mechanism ensures the extension of stages in the contact zone with the surface and their retraction in another zone. The walking wheel contributes to best cohesion and increase of the contact area with the surface.
