METHOD TO FORECAST POTENTIAL HARMFULNESS OF POPULATIONS OF BORERS (LEPIDOPTERA, AEGERIIDAE)

A method to forecast the potential harmfulness of populations of borers (Lepidoptera, Aegeriidae) includes determining separate stages of the development of the pests. The total level of the borers number in agrocenoses is determined according to the dissection of branches and shoots. In addition, the level of concentration of the most viable populations of the borers at a distance of 10 cm from the root collar of the plants is determined. The critical level of the threat to the total stock of number thereof is above 50%, and the level of infestation of the borers with pathogenic agents and entomophages is up to 10%.
