The proposed method for checking the state of a machine with a rotor and slider bearings implies measuring the radial vibrations of the rotor shaft in two directions using vibration transducers. To synchronize the readings of the output signals of the vibration transducers, the output signal of the shaft angular position transducer is used. The output signal of the vibration transducer is sampled so that the specified number of the readings of the signals corresponds to each revolution of the shaft. The sampled output signals of the vibration transducers are processed in accordance with the Fourier transform algorithm. The results of the transform are used for generating the Lissajous patterns that are used to determine the presence or the absence of defects of the machine.
