METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HARMFULNESS OF POPULATIONS OF SPECIES OF GENUS OSTRINIA (LEPIDOPTERA, PYRAUSTIDAE)

A method for controlling the harmfulness of a population of species of the genus Ostrinia (Lepidoptera, Pyraustidae) includes using Trichogramma. Prior to settling into agrocenoses, the Trichogramma is paired. After the pairing it is infected in the course of 1-1.5 hours with eggs of the host pest in a biolaboratory. Prior to settling the Trichogramma and isolating thereof from the eggs of the laboratory host, the imago is fed with a diet consisting of an aqueous solution of ribonucleic acid modified with thiophosphamide in a concentration of 0.004-0.030%. The Trichogramma is settled in 250 points per 1 ha with a consumption rate of 150-350 thousand of females. In doing so the multiplicity of settling is no less than three releases.
