The proposed method for determining the suitability of a scanner to be used in medicolegal investigation consists in placing, on the plate of the scanner, a test pattern containing 11 scales with millimeter indications that are arranged at 2.5 mm intervals, covering the plate with black lighttight fabric, providing the fivefold scanning of the pattern, and determining the quality of the reproduction of the scale indications on the pattern copy.
