The connection unit has a pallet (9) rigidly connected with the body and co-operates with a fixation element (8) via damping elements (10), where the damping elements are constituted of a spacer made of visco-elastic material. The fixation element is fixed with a body shell of a motor vehicle and supports the pallet. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used in a motor vehicle e.g. drophead (claimed) or drophead coupe, for being fixed on a body shell of the vehicle for rigidifying and damping vibration of the shell. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The pallet is supported by the fixation element fixed with the body shell of the vehicle, thus avoiding the risk of fall and drag of the tie rod on ground in case of accidental rupture of the damping elements.
