The seat has a base frame (2) and a backrest frame (3) associated by a joining system (4). The system has a plastically deformable monoblock part (5) which is an integrating part of the base frame or backrest frame. The part is arranged so that the part deforms under the application of predetermined force directed towards the rear on a backrest, and the backrest frame returns back in translation with respect to the base frame, where an angle between the base frame and the backrest frame is constant. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming a deformable part of a seat.
