The backrest (1) has a body (2) with a head rest (3) that has a pad (4) to cover head of an occupant. The head rest is movable between right and turn back positions, in which the headrest extends the body and extends at right angle with respect to the body, respectively. The head rest is situated under a level of an upper edge of the body in the turn back position and includes a collar (8) to support the pad. The body has an upper part with lateral arms (9, 11), and the collar is integrated to the upper part. The collar is mounted between the arms and pivots around a transversal axis (AX).
