The apparatus (1) has a base (10) with a transversal bar (1032) pivoting through a post (103). Pivots (104, 105) are connected to the post and base, respectively. Two connection assemblies (11) are placed on two sides of the base. Each assembly has connections (111, 112) comprising ends connected to the pivots by shafts (113, 114) respectively. Two cylinders (12) have respective ends connected to the base and a split bar (116). Sliding assemblies (14) have support pieces (142) received in grooves of rails (141). Pedals (15) are slid with respect to the rails during operation of the apparatus.
