摘要

An air conditioner is provided to clean periodically impurities attached to a surface of an outdoor heat exchanger to exchange heat smoothly, thereby increasing cooling or heating efficiency. An outdoor heat exchanger includes a cabinet forming an outward appearance. A heat exchanger is contained in the cabinet for exchanging heat with outdoor air. A filter assembly is mounted at a rear of the heat exchanger for filtering impurities. A compressor is mounted at one side of the inside of the cabinet for compressing a refrigerant. A fan assembly draws in outdoor air and discharges the outdoor air out of the fan assembly. A cleaning device(20) is mounted at one side of an upper part of the cabinet. The cleaning device sprays high-pressure air to a front of the heat exchanger in a state that the outdoor heat exchanger is stopped.
