A train platform emergency call system using a wire/wireless communication network and a method for controlling the same are provided to rapidly cope with emergency situations by connecting a plurality of terminal units with relay systems and a central control system through wireless communication and power line communication and constructing an emergency call system. A train platform emergency call system using a wire/wireless communication network comprises a plurality of wireless terminal units(100a-100t), a central control system(300), and one or more relay systems(200a,200b). The wireless terminal units(100a-100t), installed at the top of a platform along a railroad track, execute wireless communication with the relay systems(200a,200b), and enable passengers, located at the platform, to execute wireless emergency calls with the station staff. The central control system(300), installed in a staff room, executes power line communication with the relay systems(200a,200b) and provides emergency calls between many passengers at the platform and the station staff of the staff room. The relay systems(200a,200b) are installed between the wireless terminal units(100a-100t) and the central control system(300). The relay systems(200a,200b) relay emergency calls between the wireless terminal units(100a-100t) and the central control system(300) by executing wireless communication with the wireless terminal units(100a-100t) and power line communication with the central control system(300).
