BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A back light assembly and a display device having the same are provided to arrange a punched reflection plate having plural transmission holes in an upper part of lamps, thereby reducing a thickness of the back light assembly to a level equal to an existing edge type. Plural lamps(110) are arranged to be parallel to each other and generate light. A lower reflecting plate(120) is placed in a lower part of the lamps and reflects the light. A punched reflection plate(130) is placed in an upper part of the lamps, reflects the light, and has plural transmission holes(132) for transmission of the light. An optical member(140) is placed in an upper part of the punched reflection plate.
