A remote controller for an up-and-down reel having a lamp management indication display unit is provided to grasp the condition of a lamp according to information outputted to a liquid crystal display. A remote controller includes a maintenance time indication display unit(220), a lamp operating time indication display unit(230), and a wireless communication indication display unit(240) arranged on the bottom of a liquid crystal display(210) at predetermined intervals. The maintenance time indication display unit indicates a maintenance request signal of a lamp-related peripheral component. The lamp operating time indication display unit indicates an accumulated operating time of the lamp. The wireless communication indication display unit indicates a wireless communication state when the remote controller is in wireless bidirectional communication with a main body by a wireless transceiver. Lamp on/off indication display units(250) indicating on and off states of the lamp are formed on left upper and lower portions of the liquid crystal display. A lamp brightness scale indication display unit(260) is formed between the lamp on/off indication display units.
