<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive individual authentication device by which patterns of digital veins are easily acquired. <P>SOLUTION: A detection mechanism 2 includes a line sensor 4 (a detecting part) having a plate-like base body 4a and a plurality of light-receiving elements 4b aligning in the longitudinal direction on the surface of the base body 4a, a filter 5 which is provided above the line sensor 4 and transmits only near infrared rays, and a plurality of light sources 6 provided in parallel with the light-receiving elements 4b on the surface of the base body 4a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
