<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely select a coding method with a small coding amount, while suppressing a processing amount of coding. <P>SOLUTION: In a multichannel signal coding method of the invention, a weighting difference of a frame signal of a channel to be coded, and a plurality of sample value sequences in which a time position of a master channel is different, is coded. In the invention, as an optimum delay amount calculation step, the difference of the time position in which correlation of the sample value sequence of the master channel which gives the difference of the time position and the frame signal of the channel to be coded, is the largest, within a range of difference of a predetermined time position, is calculated as an optimum delay amount. Then, as a coding information determination step, from the optimum delay amount and an optimum delay amount correlation value, weighting which is to be multiplied with a number of the master channel, the difference of the time position of each sample value sequence of the master channel and the frame signal of the channel to be coded, and each sample value sequence of the master channel, is determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
