PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operation costs of the total heat source machines including pumps installed as auxiliary machines. SOLUTION: For example, when the number of heat source machines presently operated is two, the total value of the operation costs of each heat source machine G, each primary pump P, each cooling water pump CP and a cooling tower fan CF in the combination of two heat source machines is determined as a present operation cost COST2, and compared with an operation cost COST1 in a case of one heat source machine and an operation cost COST3 in a case of three heat source machines, thus the combination of the heat source machines of the lowest operation costs is decided as the combination of the operated heat source machines. As the operation cost of the cooling tower fan CF is comparatively low, it may not be included in calculating the operation costs.
