PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus capable of homogenizing ink and recording a good image by efficiently agitating the ink in accordance with the condition of the ink in an ink tank. SOLUTION: When the lapse of time T after reciprocating movement of a carriage is finished is shorter than a specified time T1, the number of the reciprocating movement of the carriage for agitating the ink is set in accordance with the number of scanning of the carriage in a recording operation.
