PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor and an electric power steering device therewith, capable of reducing operation noise generated from the motor due to transmission of vibration caused by magnetism which occurs due to current flow in a stator. SOLUTION: This motor 1 has an annular stator core 16 around which a coil 18 is wound, a rotor 20 disposed in a space partitioned by the inner-periphery surface of the stator core 16, a rotating shaft 22 fixed at the rotor 20 and rotating the rotor 20, a stator case 12 accommodating the stator core 16 around which the coil 18 is wound, and a damping member 35 for damping a stator case end portion 13b positioned on an opposite side to an output side of the rotating shaft 22 of the stator case 12.
