PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking photography system capable of correctly performing attitude control over a video camera from right after a tracking start indication is made even when the relative speed difference between the visual field of the video camera and a target is large. SOLUTION: A tracking processing unit 42 starts tracking processing once the decision button of a console panel is depressed while the target on a monitor 20 is set to an item. After the tracking processing is started, the tracking processing unit 42 performs gate setting processing and correlation processing to the latest frame data from frame data of a frame that an operator views when the start of the tracking is indicated, out of the frame data stored in an image memory 42b, at intervals of several pieces of data and a gimbal control unit 43 is made to perform feedback control over a gimbal.
