PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean up foreign matters deposited on the inner face of a discharge passage of a valve seat member by automatically moving an operating member forward and backward. SOLUTION: A body 1 and a cover 2 form a valve casing. The valve casing has an inlet 5, a valve chest 4 and an outlet 7. The valve seat member 9 is mounted on the lower part of the valve chest 4. The valve seat member 9 has the discharge passage 8 for communicating the valve chest 4 with the side of the outlet 7. In the valve chest 4, a float 11 is arranged which is seated on/off the valve seat member 9 to open/close the discharge passage 8. In the discharge passage 8, the operating member 16 is arranged to be movable forward and backward. A bimetal 17 as a temperature reacting member is connected to the operating member 16. The bimetal 17 is arranged in a sealed primary side storage chamber 14 communicated with the valve chest 4. With the deformation of the bimetal 17, the operating member 16 is moved forward at a low temperature and moved backward at a high temperature. The operating member 16 is moved forward to clean up the foreign matters deposited on the inner face of the discharge passage 8 of the valve seat member 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
