PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine equipped with a main fuel supply system for injecting and supplying composite fuel which is a mixture of alcohol fuel and gasoline fuel to the engine and with an auxiliary fuel supply system for injecting and supplying fuel for starting including gasoline fuel at a regular rate or more to the engine, and capable of suppressing decline in a fuel flow rate and occurrence of blocking in the auxiliary fuel supply system. SOLUTION: This fuel supply device is equipped with the main fuel supply system for injecting and supplying composite fuel comprising alcohol fuel and gasoline fuel from a main fuel injection valve 4 and with the auxiliary fuel supply system for injecting and supplying fuel for starting including gasoline fuel at the regular rate or more from an auxiliary fuel injection valve 30. When engine start by the composite fuel is difficult, fuel is injected and supplied from the auxiliary fuel supply system. When the fuel injection from the auxiliary fuel supply system is completed, a three-way valve 32 is switched to block communication of the auxiliary fuel injection valve 30 with an auxiliary fuel tank 34 and introduce outside air into auxiliary fuel piping 35, and purge control to open the auxiliary fuel injection valve 30 is performed.
