PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injector in which even if a body is bent, a lateral load is not applied to a needle sliding portion not to cause impairment of a sliding property of the needle. SOLUTION: The injector 1 is equipped with a needle 16 to which axial force in a valve opening direction is applied and a command piston 17 to which axial force in a valve closing direction is applied. An axial end of the needle 16 abuts against an axial end of the command piston 17. The end of the command piston 17 at a needle 16 side is supported by a lower body 11 in a freely slidable manner. Specifically, a spring seat 30 provided at the needle 16 side of the command piston 17 is in sliding contact with a spring housing chamber 37. As a result, even if a lower body 11 is bent, axile displacement of a needle abutting end X in the command piston 17 can be prevented, so that axial force only in the axial direction is applied to the abutting portion of the needle 16 and command piston 17, and therefore the lateral force is not applied to a needle sliding portion B, thus causing no impairment of the sliding property of the needle 16.
