PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle guide-chiller that can restrain heat generation from a precision roll lathe saddle roller guide to perform accurate grooving in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: A roller guide having many rollers is provided on the top face of a bed 10 to guide parallel a carriage saddle 26 in the longitudinal direction (Z-axis) of a workpiece. A coolant jacket is formed which extends along the roller guide inside a bed 10. Another coolant jacket is formed which extends along the rolling face of the roller guide inside a saddle 26.
