PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying mechanism capable of simply, surely and neatly chamfering along unevenness even on a part to be chamfered of an object designed with the unevenness, simple in structure, suitable for mass production, excellent in durability, easy in maintenance, easy to handle and economical. SOLUTION: The copying mechanism includes a substrate 1 to be mounted appropriately on a supporting means S3 of a chamfering machine S, a swinging arm 10 to be mounted on the substrate 1 to be vertically swingable appropriately via a swinging and supporting means, a chamfering tool 25 mounted toward one end from the swinging center of the arm 10, and a weight 21 mounted toward the other end from the swinging center of the arm 10. The mechanism is formed so that the location of the weight 21 can be adjusted, and is structured to cause a rotary cutter 26 of the tool 25 to chamfer the part to be chamfered of the object H carried in an upwardly facing posture by a conveyance means S2 while copying by means of a torque occurring on the arm 10 by gravity.
