PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article preventing spread of soft feces, etc., without impairing rise of side three-dimensional gathers because it is found that side three-dimensional gathers of a conventional absorbent article with the side three-dimensional gathers preventing spread of soft feces, etc., sometimes fall down outward. SOLUTION: A skin-side sheet member 42 and a side three-dimensional gather (a side sheet 22) are bonded to each other in a side edge part 15a along the longitudinal direction of the disposable diaper 40. The skin-side sheet member 42 comprises nonwoven fabrics 12, 13 and a thread-like elastic member 41 bonded in the extended state in the crossing direction. A number of projections and recesses are formed scatteringly on the surfaces of the nonwoven fabrics 12 and 13 because of the contraction of the elastic member 41.
