PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin composition which can achieve both mechanical strengths and film formability at high levels, for example, when forming a phenolic resin-containing functional layer constituting an electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This curable resin composition is characterized by comprising a phenolic resin having a (MwH/MwL) ratio of≤3.50, wherein MwH is a peak area having a weight-average mol. wt. of≥200 in a mol. wt. distribution measured by gel permeation chromatography; MwL is a peak area having a weight-average mol. wt. of <200, and a compound represented by the general formula (I) [F is an n-valent organic group derived from a compound having a hole transport property; R<SP>1</SP>is independently a 1 to 18C organic group; T is a divalent group; (n) is an integer of 1 to 4].
