The method involves taking a filling photography of a patient (2) to be examined with the help of an x-ray tube (3) and a radiation detector (4). Radiation hardening can be implemented based on information about a weakening structure of the patient to be examined. The radiation hardening is determined based on mask photography, without filling. The radiation hardening of the filling is corrected under consideration of a filter effect of the patient to be examined, without filling. An independent claim is also included for a device for taking subtraction angiography photography for implementing the method for correcting radiation hardening in contrast medium photography.
