<p>The device has units (9-13) arranged in or at a housing (15) for detecting an impairment. A wireless transmitter (6) is arranged in or at the housing, where the wireless transmitter sends a signal to an external receiver, as long as there is no impairment detected in a network unit e.g. switching station. A connection (3) is provided for attaching the device to an energy power line, in order to supply the units and the transmitter with electricity. An electrical plug socket (5) is provided for attaching electrical or electronic equipment. An independent claim is also included for a system for detecting an impairment of several network elements.</p>
