The auto body (1) has multiple supporting body sections and bullet-proof armoring. One of the supporting body sections is formed from a ballistic operative material. B-pillars (2) are formed from a ballistic operative material, which is ballistic steel. The B-pillar has a recess (5) for retaining a hinge-joint (6) for tying up a vehicle door. The B-pillar in the area of its ends facing a door sill (4) is provided with a tie rod (8). An armoring of the door sill is connected with the end part (9a) of the B-pillar.
