METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MEASURING THE TEMPERATURE OF A MOLTEN METAL BATH

A method and a device for measuring the temperature of a molten metal bath are provided to rapidly perform measurement by using an optical fiber which is maintained at very low temperature for a relatively long time. A method for measuring the temperature of a molten metal bath uses an optical fiber which is surrounded by a cover and heated in a molten bath. The parameter of the molten bath is measured by supplying radiations absorbed by the optical fiber to a detector. The optical fiber is dipped and heated in a molten solution. The heating curve of the optical fiber has at least one point. The temperature increase of the optical fiber in a first time period is smaller than that in a second time period.
