<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible even for an operator having little experience to approximate printed matter to a printing target with a minimum spoilage and a reduced color matching time, without requiring a densitometer and an image pickup device. <P>SOLUTION: A proof image is displayed in simulation in a display device so that it changes in accordance with the amount of regulation of ink in a printing machine, and the amount of regulation of the ink in the printing machine which is needed for coincidence of the color of the simulated image with that of the printed matter at the time when the color of the former is so changed as to coincide with that of the latter is estimated. This amount is fed back to the amount of opening and closing of an ink fountain key of the printing machine, so that the color of the printed matter be made approximate to that of the original proof image being the printing target. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
