<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a closing failure of a contactor in which a fuel cell and a load are connected to each other or cut-off from each other in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: Simultaneously with sending out an opening command to a contactor 106p of a positive side at a starting time point of a failure detection mode, an air compressor 36 connected to a capacitive load is driven to compare a load voltage Vld with a fuel cell voltage Vfc. In the case the contactor 106b is normally opened, electricity accumulated in the capacitive load is consumed by the air compressor 36, and the load voltage Vld is rapidly reduced. For this reason, based on the existence of comparatively large voltage differences (V1d to Vfc) at starting and finishing time of the failure detection mode, the closing failure of the contactor 106p can be detected in the short time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
