<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure which permits connection of a coated optical fiber on an optical cable side to a drop cable or attachment/detachment of connectors easily and inexpensively without touching the coated optical fiber on the optical cable side. <P>SOLUTION: The closure 1 for aerial installation used when dropping the drop cable 4 is provided with two compartments: an optical cable holding compartment 3 for passing or connecting/branching the optical cable 2; and drop cable holding compartments 5a, 5b which are prepared adjacent to the optical cable compartment 3 and are used for welding of the drop cable or connector connection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
