<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce load on a discharge means for discharging the bundle of sheet-like recording media by preventing the deflection of a paper bundle from increasing at the rear end. <P>SOLUTION: In this sheet conveying device, a pair of paper discharge rollers 14a, 14b are openably installed at the outlet 19 of a conveying route for conveying paper. The opening amount between the paper discharge rollers 14a, 14b is changed while the paper bundle formed of paper sheets is conveyed by one copy. One of the conveying rollers is supported on a paper discharge guide plate 11b at the free end in the form of a driven roller 14b, and connected to a filler 5 rotated by a motor through a link 17. The rotating amount of the filler 15 is controlled according to, for example, the thickness of the paper bundle, number of sheets, and stitching positions to change the opening amount between the paper discharge rollers 14a, 14b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
